Public Lecture by Visiting Artist Duane Paxson

Duane Paxon and workDuane Paxson has exhibited in 22 solo shows and has given 23 Guest Lectures at Museums, Universities and Art Centers. His sculpture has been included in 59 Juried Shows and 37 Two Person or Group Shows. He has won16 Merit, Purchase and Honorable Mention Awards. In addition to teaching at Troy University, he has also been involved in Gallery work as Visual Art Chair at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation, Watinsville GA. (2006-2007) and as Gallery Director, Malone Gallery, Troy University, Troy, AL. (2008-2911). Duane received his MFA from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Dr. Dorothy Joiner has recently reviewed Duane Paxson’s work in an article entitled A Singular Vision that appeared in World Sculpture News, Summer 2011 Issue, p.5,7,28,29,30,31,32,33.
