MAPLE lab logo

Students and faculty affiliated with the Music Acoustics Perception Learning (MAPLE) Lab are traveling to the Percussive Arts Society International Convention as part of an ongoing series of studies exploring rhythm perception in musicians vs. non-musicians.  The goal of this research is to inform our understanding of the cognitive basis for rhythm and movement abilities, in addition to helping promote percussion-focused research.  Additionally, we believe this work will have important implications for music pedagogy and training.

We will be testing throughout the convention in 50 min slots starting on the hour.  Any registered convention attendee will have the opportunity to participate.
